Safety at Rotom is more than a rule - it’s part of our culture. From preventing accidents to protecting people and the planet, the Rotom Safety Program guides how we work every day. Every colleague plays a role, helping us create a safer, healthier, and more sustainable workplace.
Since launching the Rotom Safety Program in 2025, we’ve used it to guide both our daily operations and long-term planning. In 2026, we’re building on this foundation with further improvements to make our workplaces even safer for everyone.
Safety defined: Our three pillars
Our approach is guided by three pillars that shape how we work and care for each other and the planet:
- Health: protecting the physical, mental, and social well-being of our colleagues
- Safety: preventing danger, risk, and injury through clear rules, systems, and safe behavior
- Environment: minimizing our impact on the planet through responsible and sustainable practices
We put these principles into practice every day by providing high-quality equipment, maintaining machinery, and identifying potential risks before they become accidents. Safety is everyone’s responsibility, and we make it visible, discussable, and measurable so it becomes part of everything we do.
Near Miss Program: Learning before accidents happen
A key way we prevent accidents is through our Near Miss Program. Near Misses are moments that almost cause harm - like a forklift coming close to an unsecured pallet, or someone nearly tripping over loose packaging. Reporting them might seem small, but it’s crucial. Each report helps us understand risks and prevent accidents before they happen.
Everyone plays a part in safety
Safety is a shared responsibility. By staying alert, keeping work areas tidy, wearing the right personal protective equipment (PPE), and speaking up when something doesn’t feel safe, we put our mission into action: being reliable, delivering quality, working sustainably, and always putting safety first.
Rotom’s commitment goes beyond the workplace
Our responsibility doesn’t stop at Rotom. We extend the same care and commitment to our customers, suppliers, and local communities. To ensure our values are applied consistently, we have implemented a Business Code of Conduct.
