Rotom, one of the leading European suppliers in the field of sustainable load carriers and services, is expanding its infrastructure and production capacities by taking over Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro based in Kaplice, Czech Republic.
Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro has been producing and delivering large quantities of high quality wooden pallets and load carriers for various industrial customers, especially in Austria and Germany, for more than 20 years. Their customers include major European companies from the automotive and consumer goods industries, furniture manufacturers, beverage bottlers and transport companies.
Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro will retain its own identity and brand name for the time being and will also focus more on building up business in the Czech Republic and Slovakia in the future. Supported by the Rotom Group and its extensive product portfolio, the aim is to significantly increase market shares beyond wood products.
Even after the transfer of Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro to the Rotom Group, the plant will continue to work very closely with Hoppichler GmbH in Austria. Furthermore, Mr. Hoppichler will also accompany and support the business activities for a period of up to one year. Hoppichler GmbH in Austria, which operates independently and is owned by the Hoppichler Private Foundation and Dr. Friedrich Hoppichler, remains unaffected by the takeover.
Through the integration of Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro into the Rotom Group, not only wooden products will be produced in Kaplice, Czech Republich, in future. An even larger range of sustainable load carriers and services, such as pallet return logistics, will be expanded in the near future as well.
This makes Hoppichler Pallets, Boxes, Wood Packaging Spol Sro a welcome addition to the Rotom Group and its activities and growth strategy in the European market.
Rotom supports companies with logistics resources for transport and storage in 10 countries in Europe. This growth creates an even stronger presence, which will serve the European market from autumn 2022 with 27 of its own branches in 10 countries. Group turnover exceeds €210 million in 2022 and the number of employees is over 500.
In future, the company in the Czech Republic will be represented by the experienced managing director of Rotom Germany and Rotom Austria, Uwe Steingräber. The managing director is supported by a local team in sales and production. In addition to the expertise of the CEO of the Rotom Group Arjan Kuiper, extensive resources are also available from the Rotom headquarters in the Netherlands.
