Our subsidiary 2Return will celebrate a festive milestone in 2025: its 15th anniversary! This milestone symbolizes innovation, collaboration, and above all: sustainability. Founded in 2010 as an ambitious greenfield operation, 2Return has since grown into a leading player in the world of return logistics and pallet management.
Managing Director Toine Domensino decided in 2010, after a career in various logistics positions, to establish 2Return together with Arjan Kuiper:

15 Years of Innovation and Sustainability
Since its founding in 2010, 2Return has positioned itself as a pioneer in the reuse of logistics assets. The company has focused on reducing waste and maximizing the lifespan of pallets and other logistics carriers. Through innovative solutions and a strong focus on sustainability, 2Return has made a significant impact on the logistics sector.
One of its greatest successes is reducing wood consumption for pallets. This has been a key focus area in the logistics sector and for 2Return, as sustainability has always been a core principle.
Contribution to a Circular Economy
2Return began pallet banking in its first year - a system where companies using pallets and return packaging don’t need to incur large return transportation costs for empty packaging. 2Return utilized Rotom locations spread across Europe, collecting Europallets from customers in one country and delivering them to customers in another.
Over the past 15 years, 2Return has grown substantially and now offers a complete return service for pallets, crates, and other packaging. This not only reduces the ecological footprint but also offers clients an economically attractive alternative. By reusing pallets, thousands of trees are saved annually, and CO2 emissions are reduced.
Focus on Reuse
2Return focuses on the reuse of pallets and other logistics load carriers. Wooden pallets with a short lifespan, in particular, lead to unnecessary deforestation. Pallets made from fresh wood are typically recycled after 2 to 3 years, while the wood for 20 pallets comes from trees that are 40 years old. 2Return refers to the overconsumption of wood for new pallets as Wood Overshoot and thus promotes pallet reuse.
